Hi! My name is Amy Decker and I have been teaching Second Grade at St. Paul for 11 years. I also help prepare our candidates for the sacrament of Holy Communion. I enjoy teaching all subjects, but reading, math, and cursive handwriting are my favorites. I graduated from St. Paul in 1998, Holy Cross High School in 2002, and went on to further my education at Eastern Kentucky University (2007), Indiana University Southeast Transition to Teaching Program (2009), and finally obtained my Master’s Degree from Indiana University in 2014.
My family includes my husband, Matt and our two boys, Nathan (3rd Grade) and Brayden (Pre-K). I have also had the pleasure to teach my two nieces, Kayla (Class of 2017) and Nataly (Class of 2021).
In my free time, I like to spend time with my family and friends. I also enjoy cooking and baking. I am a member of the Big Blue Nation and enjoy either attending or watching games with my family.
I also like to travel as much as possible.
