Parents of children preparing to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, Reconciliation, and/or Confirmation are required to participate in these sessions. The purpose of these classes is to assist parents in their role as the primary religious educators of their children.
Baptism
“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” MT 28:19-28
Parents requesting infant Baptism are expected to be registered parishioners and practicing Catholics. In the case of a mixed religion family, this is expected of the Catholic party. An appointment with the Baptism Coordinator and a pre-baptismal session is required prior to setting a date for Baptism.

We are happy to schedule a Baptism at 11:30 am Mass on just about any Sunday throughout the year.
Adults are welcomed into the Church at the Easter Vigil through the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, Holy Eucharist) following preparation through the RCIA program (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults).
First Communion and Reconciliation
"Let the children come to me; do not prevent them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it." Mark 10:14-15
Typically, 2nd Graders at St. Paul celebrate two essential sacraments of the Catholic faith -- the sacrament of Reconciliation in the fall and the sacrament of First Holy Communion or Eucharist in the spring. At St. Paul, sacramental preparation is accomplished through a partnership involving parents, school religion teachers, Parish Religious Education Program [PREP] catechists, and the Children’s Formation Coordinator.
