“Be kind and loving with each other, for you cannot love Christ in his distressing disguise if you cannot love Jesus in the heart of your neighbors. Be generous in accepting all the sacrifices that come every day on your way. Then you will be able to say in all sincerity, “My God and my all.” Prayer is nothing but that oneness with Christ. As Scripture says in St. Paul, “I live no longer, but Christ lives in me. To surrender to God means that we offer him our will, our reason, our life. We do this in pure faith, even if our soul is in darkness. Surrender is also a sign of our true love for God and for souls. If we really love others, we must be ready to take their place, to take their sins upon ourselves. We must be living holocausts for those souls who are most in need. On the cross they tried to give Jesus a bitter drink, like a drug, but he did not use it because his thirst was for love, for souls, for you and me.” --Thirsting for God, St. Theresa of Calcutta

PRAY FOR PEACE AND PROTECTION IN URKRAINE

O God, merciful and strong, who crush wars and cast down the proud, be pleased to banish violence swiftly from our midst and to wipe away all tears, so that we may all truly deserve to be called your children. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. AMEN ---The Manila Cathedral
